I am so happy as you may know my friend helped me get the animation on everything is up on my blog so i have officially finished my assignment!

IST Assignment (Answering Questions)

7.What difficulties did you encounter?
Well i started it and i made at least around 45 frames when i realised the frames were being made on transparent background. I then started again i made 113 frames on a solid background but then the rest on transparent. Then i start again FOR THE LAST TIME and completed it with a number of 184 frames. Also my animation wasn't uploading so i got some help from my friend and she really helped me to get it up online!

IST Assignment (Answering Questions)

5.What frame rate were you aiming for?
I was aiming for at least 150 - 170 frames. I got 184 frames! WOW! I am sure many people got more than that but i am proud of it anyway.

6.What is the final size of your animation?
Well in frames my final number of frames was 184. The final size of my animation is 797KB.

IST Assignment (Answering Questions)

4.What image format did you save your frames as?
After i finished on Inkscape i had to open my frames from Inkscape as layers onto Gimp. After this when i was happy and it was all finalised i saved it as and animation and as a GIF image format (Graphics Interchange Format).

IST Assignment (Answering Questions)

3.What image format were you saving your work in during development of the frames?
Since i was using Inkscape to make my animation i had to save it as a PNG file in other words a 'Portable Network Graphic' i am quoting from wikipedia this is what it says about a PNG file i think it is relevant because it also talks about GIF files which is what i had to save my work as when i loaded my frames as layers onto Gimp. "The PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file format was created as the free, open-source successor to the GIF." WEBSITE:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_format#PNG

IST Assignment (Answering Questions)

1. Describe what software you used and why you chose it:
I chose Inkscape, i chose it because i found i could do much more with the objects and it was easier for me. I also was contimplating on which one to do i tried Gimp out and i found everything i was trying to do on Gimp was looking pretty CRAP! It turned out bad, but i do have a friend who has done hers on Gimp and her animation has turned out REALLY good. I guess Inkscape was just easier and better for me to use.

2. Describe the creation process you followed:
Well my creation process wasn't really planned. I thought since i am not so good at this i should make it simple. So my first idea was to make the letters move. Then i had some difficulties and had to start again. I think it was GREAT i had to start again because i had many NEW ideas. I then started again making the word CARITAS come out onto the screen letter by letter. I then made the S bang into the A and then they all followed in suit it then reversed back to the S and finished. After this a YELLOW box comes out a ball hits all the
letters and then the letters fall into the box. The box then exits the screen.
